2/19/25 Capitol Update Extended – Lawmakers Find Problems with Health Care Agency Budgets

Some lawmakers found waste and inefficiencies by Florida’s main health care agencies. Members of the House Health Care Budget Subcommittee personally examined agency budgets and discovered hundreds of jobs that have gone vacant, misspent money and instances of mismanagement. Members are calling for a wholesale investigation of all of the state health care agencies.
