2/18/25 Capitol Update Extended – Senate Committee Passes Measure to Put Farm Tax Waiver on 2026 Ballot

A Senate committee approved a measure to put a constitutional amendment before the voters in 2026. It would waive the property taxes on tangible personal property located on active farms. The legislature needs to pass the joint resolution before the measure makes it onto the ballot next year.
