2/16/26 Capitol Update Extended: House Committee Votes to Recreate Florida’s EPRF with New Guardrails

Members of a House committee passed a bill to recreate an emergency response fund largely controlled by the Governor, but their bill would provide for greater legislative oversight. A measure reauthorizing the fund without such guardrails was already approved by the full Senate.
