12/9/24 Capitol Update Extended – Rep. Susan Valdes Switches to Republican Party

House Speaker Daniel Perez announced that Democratic Rep. Susan Valdes is switching to the Republican Party. Valdes represents part of Hillsborough County. She was first elected to the House in 2018 and re-elected ever since, including the vote in November.
