12/19/25 Capitol Update Extended – Agriculture Commissioner Warns of Active Fire Season Ahead

Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson says the Florida Forest Service is preparing for what’s expected to be an especially active fire season. More than 3,100 wildfires have already occurred across the state in 2025.
