12/11/24 Capitol Update Extended – FWC Considers Bear Hunting

The Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission directed staff to develop a plan for a bear hunt. The last legal bear hunt in Florida was in 2015. Supporters of bear hunting cited the constitutional amendment voters approved in November that makes hunting and fishing the preferred means to manage wildlife populations.
