11/4/20 Florida Supreme Court Oral Arguments: Alachua County, Etc. v. Sadie Darnell, Etc. SC19-2016
This case involves a dispute between the sheriff and the county commission over a transfer of money within the sheriff’s budget. The trial court ruled that the statutory budgeting scheme does not require a sheriff to seek Board approval for transfers between objects after final approval of the county budget. The First District Court of Appeal affirmed, and this appeal followed.
