11/18/25 Capitol Update Extended – Unemployment Assistance Verification Bill Approved by Committee

Floridians could be disqualified from unemployment assistance if they don’t do enough to find a new job under a bill approved by a House committee. The measure would also put additional requirements on the Department of Commerce to verify claimants’ eligibility.
