On October 8th, Governor Ron DeSantis scheduled a press conference for 7:45 AM on Hurricane Milton at the State Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee. He was joined by Florida Division of Emergency Management Executive Director Kevin Guthrie, Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue, Florida Highway Patrol Executive Director Dave Kerner and Adjutant General of Florida Major General John D. Haas.
