On October 7th, Governor Ron DeSantis spoke at the State Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee about preparing for Hurricane Milton. He was joined by Florida Division of Emergency Management Executive Director Kevin Guthrie, Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue, Florida Highway Patrol Executive Director Dave Kerner and Adjutant General of Florida Major General John D. Haas.
