10/15/24 Capitol Update Extended – Governor Announces Arrest of Man Who Left Dog Tied to a Pole During Hurricane Milton

The Governor announced that the man who left his dog chained to a pole in rising water as Hurricane Milton moved in has been arrested. State Attorney Susan Lopez called on the Legislature to add animal cruelty to the list of crimes for which harsher penalties can be imposed during a state of emergency.
