On October 14th, Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference on Hurricane Milton from Palmetto. He was joined by Florida Division of Emergency Management Executive Director Kevin Guthrie, Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue, SeaPort Manatee Executive Director Carlos Buqueras and SeaPort Manatee Governing Board Chair Kevin Van Ostenbridge.
