10/1/24 Capitol Update Extended – Former Senator Convicted in Ghost Candidate Elections Scheme

A jury in Miami-Dade County convicted former State Senator Frank Artiles of violating campaign finance laws.  The jury found that he recruited and paid a ghost candidate in a 2020 state Senate race who had the same last name as the incumbent.
