1/29/26 Capitol Update Extended – Senate Committee Advances Bill Expanding Florida’s Wrongful Death Act

The Senate Appropriations Committee on Criminal and Civil Justice voted up on a bill that would expand the state’s Wrongful Death Act to include mothers of unborn children as “survivors.” The bill has one more committee stop before a potential floor vote.
