1/14/26 Capitol Updated Extended – FDOT Says “Flying Cars” Could Take Flight in 2027

Representatives for FDOT told a House subcommittee that the first commercial advanced air mobility flights could happen as early as 2027. FDOT Assistant Secretary Will Watts said the state was working with the FAA to develop guidelines for the new technology.
