Capitol Update – Week Ending 11/03/2017

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  Topics this week include:

• At the annual Associated Press pre-session briefing, reporters quizzed the Governor and Legislative leaders about budget and policy priorities, and about sexual harassment policy within the Legislature.
• The Florida Supreme Court heard oral arguments on whether Governor Rick Scott can appoint three new Justices on the day his successor is sworn in.
• An update on state parks restoration, including the recovery of parks damaged by Hurricane Irma.
