Capitol Update – Week Ending 06/30/2017

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  Topics include:

• The Governor signed or vetoed bills in the last batch from the 2017 Legislative session.
• The Florida Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case over the Governor’s decision to remove capital cases from a State Attorney who said she would not seek the death penalty.
• The state paid tribute to former Supreme Court Chief Justice Parker Lee McDonald, who died Saturday at the age of 93.
