Capitol Update – Week Ending 09/30/2016

  • Governor Rick Scott tells the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors that he will ask the Legislature for $85 million for business incentives in the 2017 session.  House Speaker-Designate Richard Corcoran said the House would not support that level of funding.
  • A review of new laws that take effect October 1st.
  • The Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission continues its tour of the state, meeting with the public about ways to prevent bear-human conflicts.
