TFC News Brief – 11/6/17

  • The Senate President ordered an independent investigation of sexual assault allegations against Sen. Jack Latvala, and removed Latvala from his two committee chairs.  Latvala said the allegations are untrue and he expects to be exonerated.
  • Governor Rick Scott went on a three-city tour to unveil a $180 million tax cut plan.
  • The Public Service Commission approved a settlement agreement with Tampa Electric Company that will freeze base rates for 4 years, and allow the utility to continue to add industrial-scale solar facilities.
