It’s a Law: HB 19 – Prescription Drug Importation Programs

Lawmakers pledged to make big changes to the health care system this year, passing a series of bills the say will lower costs and improve access. One would allow medications to be imported from Canada and other countries, where drugs have traditionally been more affordable. While the new law went into effect July 1st, it may be some time before Floridians can reap the benefits.
