• The killer in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre was formally sentenced to life in prison without parole.
• The Florida Supreme Court heard oral arguments in an auto accident lawsuit that was filed years after the driver at fault had died.
• The University of Florida Board of Trustees approved Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse as the new university president.
