Capitol Update – Week Ending 10/08/2021

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  Topics this week include:  

• The state Board of Education gave 8 school districts a strict deadline to comply with the state’s ban on mask mandates or face financial penalties.
• The Florida Supreme Court held an investiture ceremony for Justice John Coriel.
• The Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission voted to lift the 30-year ban on catch-and-keep for goliath grouper; permits will be limited to 200.
