Capitol Update – Week Ending 01/22/2021

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  Topics this week include:

• Surgeon General Scott Rivkees ordered proof of Florida residency before someone can get a COVID-19 vaccine in the state.  
• The Legislative Black Caucus is trying to figure out why only 58,540 of the 1.1 million Floridians who’ve been vaccinated are African-American.
• Florida’s unemployment rate dropped to 6.1% in December.
