  • At a state Board of Education meeting, Commissioner Richard Corcoran criticized the Duval County Superintendent for not inviting charter schools to replace persistently low performing schools.
  • Governor Ron DeSantis signed at least 25 bill including HB 7065 which reforms the state’s property insurance assignment of benefits (AOB) system.
  • Serial killer Bobby Joe Long was executed by lethal injection, the first execution authorized by Governor DeSantis.
