• Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill that makes texting while driving a primary offense, and another bill authorizing planning for new toll highways.
• At the annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference, DeSantis signed a tax package that includes a sales tax holiday for hurricane supplies.
• The Public Service Commission approved hurricane cost recovery plans by Gulf Power and Florida Power & Light.
