Capitol Update – Week Ending 09/14/2018

Capitol Update is a weekly review of state government.  Topics this week include:

• The Joint Legislative Budget Commission met at the Capitol and approved revenue/budget projections by state economists.
• The State University System Board of Governors focused on the budget and mental health issues at their meeting in Sarasota.
• The Clemency Board restored voting rights for some felons who’ve done their time — and rejected others — in their last meeting before voters decide if the Constitution should be amended to make it easier to restore voting rights.
