Capitol Update – Nightly During Session – Tuesday, March 03, 2020
Capitol Update is daily review of state government during the Legislative Session. Today’s topics include:
- The House Speaker and Senate President announced that the Session will not end on time because the budget gap between chambers has not been bridged.
- Governor Ron DeSantis announced that a third person in Florida has tested positive for Coronavirus, and said nursing homes must take extra precautions to protect the elderly and people with underlying medical conditions.
- The Senate Appropriations Committee approved a bill that would expand the scope of practice for Advanced Nurse Practitioners, sending it to the full Senate.
