Capitol Update – Nightly During Session – Thursday, February 27, 2020

Capitol Update is daily review of state government during the Legislative Session. Topics today include:

• Governor Ron DeSantis said the risk of coronavirus in Florida is relatively low but the Department of Health is prepared.
• The Governor signed the bill removing the mandate that DCF contract solely with the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
• The House State Affairs Committee approved the House version of a water quality improvement package, the chair saying it’s gotten much closer to the Senate version.
