• After hours of debate, the Republican majority legislature passed a bill several years in the making – requiring minors to get parental consent before terminating a pregnancy.
• More fallout in the aftermath of the compensation scandal in the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence – including a gubernatorial executive order to review all state mandated sole source contracts with private organizations.
• The Governor is fighting a federal appeals court decision that ruled the state cannot prohibit ex-felons from voting merely because they can’t afford to pay court fines and fees.
