- The Senate Appropriations Committee debated then approved a bill that would allow any teachers to train to be armed school guardians.
- The full House passed several health care bills, including one that would allow cheaper drugs from Canada to be sold in Florida and another that would let pharmacists test people for flu and strep.
- The House Ways & Means Committee approved a tax package that includes sales tax holidays for school supplies and hurricane preparedness.
