Capitol Update – Nightly During Session – Tuesday, March 19, 2019

Capitol Update is daily review of state government during the Legislative Session. Today’s topics include:

• House committees revealed their budget plans, which include hurricane recovery spending and the elimination of funding for VISIT Florida.
• Senate education budget plans were also revealed, including an increase in overall funding with some of that money going to private schools.
• A House committee approved a bill that would require parental consent before a minor could get an abortion.
