• Committees approved more than 150 bills Monday morning, all local projects presented by lawmakers for their individual districts.
• The Senate Agriculture Committee amended and approved a bill that would ban hydraulic fracturing, but not acidizing forms of enhanced oil recovery.
• A Senate committee approved a bill that would increase penalties for injuring or killing a police animal.
