Capitol Update is daily review of state government during the Legislative Session. Today’s topics include:
 
  • The Legislature passes – and the Governor signed into law – the school safety bill, in response to the school shooting in Parkland.
  • The House and Senate published a state budget, but will have to meet past the scheduled end of the regular Session to take a vote.
  • HB 7055, the education “train” bill was approved and sent to the governor.
