Each year in May for nearly half a century, the 850-acre Stephen Foster State Folk Culture Center in the little town of White Springs on the Suwannee River rings with the sounds of three full days of music. On May 23-25, 1997, the Seminole Tribe of Florida, with the assistance of professional recording engineers and videographers at the Florida Folk festival, recorded the event featuring more than 600 of Florida’s greatest folk and roots artists.
