10/29/24 Capitol Update Extended – Seminole Tribe Settles Lawsuit Over Online Sports Betting

The Seminole Tribe of Florida reached a settlement with West Flagler and two other gaming companies over the Seminole’s online sports betting authorized under the 2021 compact with the state. The companies challenged the compact all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court but did not prevail. They agreed to drop any further litigation; in exchange, the tribe will include betting on jai alai games run by a West Flagler company on its online system, Hard Rock Bet.
