Capitol Update is daily review of state government during the Legislative Session. Today’s topics include:

• The full Senate considered one of its President’s top priorities:  higher education programs and spending.
• The House Appropriations Committee then did their own analysis of higher education spending.
• A Senate budget committee also approved President Joe Negron’s plan for water storage south of Lake Okeechobee, expanding it to include water projects in other parts of the state.
