The town of Apalachicola is located along a stretch of Florida’s panhandle called The Forgotten Coast, but many say it is hard to forget once you’ve been there. While the town offers breathtaking views of the Apalachicola River and mouthwatering seafood harvested out of its Bay, Apalachicola has a storied past… from the maker of the first ice machine which led to modern air conditioning to a botanist that literally wrote the book on southern flora.
