Site Tips and FAQs

5 Tips on How to Get the Most Out of this Site

  1. Look at “Today’s Schedule”.

It is the column located on the right side of the site. Use it to find the event you’re interested in watching. The tabs that are clickable indicate the web channels that will be streaming events that day.

  2. Click on the appropriate web channel.

Ten minutes before your event is scheduled to start, that web channel will open. You can watch the stream from two locations.  Either (1) watch from the home page. Look for the red “Watch Now Choose Channel” graphic and select the appropriate web channel tab. Or (2) watch from the “Today’s Schedule” column if you are on any other page on the site besides the home page.  This column is always located on the right side of the website. Just click on the web channel’s tab and the red “Watch Now” button. Note: WEB 1 is always streaming because it is the 24/7 stream of The FLORIDA Channel.

  3. Refresh/reload your browser.

Click your web browser’s refresh/reload button if (1) you are trying to watch from the home page and the web channel your event is streaming on does not become clickable or (2) you are trying to watch from other pages on this site and the red “Watch Now” button does not appear in the “Today’s Schedule” column. By clicking on the refresh button, you’ll also be able to see any updates that have been made to today’s schedule.

  4. Clear you cache.

If you still are not able to view your event, it may be necessary to clear your cache. Caching allows your computer to do tasks more rapidly by making copies of web pages instead of downloading them from the Internet every time you visit a website. Clearing your browser’s cache will prompt your computer to display the latest information on a web page.

  5. Call (850) 488-1281.

If you still cannot view your event, call us. We’ll be happy to assist you.

System Requirements and Frequently Asked Questions

TFC’s live streams and archives can be viewed on all platforms, including PCs, laptops and mobile devices, with the exception of Android 2.2 or lower and Windows Mobile 7.

Which web browser do I need to view TFC’s website?

Our supported browser list includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Internet Explorer (version 7 or higher)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Apple Safari
  • Opera

What kind of Internet connection do I need to view TFC’s content?

We recommend any broadband connection with a speed of 512 Kbps or higher. Cable/DSL/fiber optic internet connections at home should support this speed.  Most businesses have connections that well exceed this. If your video plays back slow or jerky, there may be too many people in your organization streaming at once for the speed of your connection.

Why can’t I view video on TFC’s site, or why am I only getting black when I play videos?

TFC uses Adobe Flash Player for playback of videos. If you’re using a desktop computer or laptop, make sure you have Adobe Flash version 10 or higher installed. You can check your Flash player version on Adobe’s site here and download the latest version here.
