2013-2014 State Budget Process

The budget is the detailed spending plan which recommends monetary allocations for each of the departments of the state for the next fiscal year. Along with recommendations from the Governor and individual departments, the Senate and House prepare their own versions of the budget. After the budgets go through the legislative process, one final version is then presented to the Governor.
